Grimes Community Food Pantry Needs
These items continue to be the most urgent to replenish the food pantry shelves: Pancake Syrup, Hamburger/Tuna Helper, Boxed Potatoes, Soda Crackers, Corn Muffin Mix, Chicken Noodle/Tomato Soup, and Toilet Paper.
We are always in need of Cake, Brownie & Cookie Mixes, Toothpaste, Shampoo, Bar Soap, and Paper Products as we do not purchase these items and rely solely on donations for them.
In July the Grimes Community Food Pantry served 42 families which included 83 adults and 74 children for total of 158 individuals.
Monetary Donations are appreciated at all times. We thank you for your continued support of this community ministry!
Donations may be made online at www.grimesumc.com/local/food-pantry.cfm
The Grimes Community Food Pantry is a 501c3 tax deductible charity for all donations.
Monetary donations are needed and appreciated. Due to an increase in families participating in the monthly assistance food program. The Iowa Food Bank has been low on basic food items we purchase at a greatly reduced price. Lately, we have had to purchase a lot of these items at a higher price. We are diligent in the monies received for the Grimes Food Pantry, but we currently need assistance in being able to fulfill our mission of serving the needs of our community. Monetary donations may be mailed to the Grimes United Methodist Church, 801 W 1st St, Grimes, IA 50111 or dropped off Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the church office.
Or you can donate online:
Below is a basic list of food and other items that are given each month to Grimes families, when available, along with a voucher for perishable food items.
